Comment: Okuyamato, a highland area rich in natural resources, boasts of local industries and craft traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. Asian designers were paired with Nara-based designers to learn about these local businesses: their company culture and ties to the region. Designers showed how timeless craftsmanship can thrive in contemporary Asia.; 中山間地域を主とし、自然天然資源に恵まれた奥大和地域は、代々受け継がれてきた地場産業や伝統技術が息づく。アジアデザイナーたちは奈良を拠点とするデザイナーとペアになり、各企業の歴史文化や地域とのつながりなど、地元事業者について学んだ。デザイナーは、時代を超えた職人技が現代のアジアでどのように展開できるかを提案した。
